OUR FOUNDER

AFT, Inc. is the brainchild of Richard Taylor of Salt Lake City, an expert in the automated materials handling industry. Through his experience in the field, Richard saw the need for a new way of addressing storage and retrieval.

Richard Taylor developed a concept for a modest, easy to install automated storage retrieval system, and the Storage Retrieval Fork System (SR/F) was born. Taylor and a group of stockholders set out to develop and market this new concept by founding the company, Automated Fork Truck, Inc. (AFT) in 1992.
